Mill Creek

Brookhaven, Mississippi

Mill Creek is a 48-unit, new construction of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit-enabled affordable single family rental homes located in a distressed neighborhood in rural Brookhaven, Mississippi. The development set-aside 16 units for families 50% or below Area Median Income and 100% of the units are affordable to 80% or below Area Median Income families. Culleywood provided a predevelopment loan to the project that paid for initial expenses including the architectural, engineering, legal, land option, application fees and tax credit reservation fees.

Sharkey-Issaquena Community Hospital and Nursing Home

Rolling Fork, Mississippi

In the spring of 2023, Rolling Fork, Mississippi, was hit with a EF-4 tornado that destroyed the county hospital’s nursing home. Located in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, the Hospital faced immediate cash shortages in order to maintain daily nursing home operations and services while rebuilding the facility. Culleywood provided a $2.5MM loan that has enabled the Hospital to keep its makeshift nursing home functioning while completing construction of a new facility. This capital lifeline has ensured the continuation of care to over 4,500 patients in this rural DRA community.

Logan Farms

Jackson, Mississippi

Logan Farms is a locally owned and operated producer of Healthy Foods, including turkey, pork, and beef products with on-site retail operations in a Food Desert in a distressed neighborhood of west Jackson, Mississippi. In 2022, Logan Farms transitioned to new ownership who wanted to modernize and expand their production capacity. Culleywood provided a working capital loan that has provided the financing required to grow and serve over 2,000 customers annually in this Food Desert.

BEW Construction, LLC

Jackson, Mississippi

BEW Construction LLC is a black-owned single family housing developer focused on the rehabilitation of vacant, abandoned, or dilapidated single family houses in distressed neighborhoods in south and west Jackson, Mississippi. Culleywood has helped fuel BEW’s expansion by providing a 100% loan-to-cost revolving line of credit for the acquisition and rehab of single family properties. This line of credit has enabled BEW to expand to developing 4 houses at a time.
